Microsoft, $Microsoft(MSFT.US)$ , in talks to invest $10 billion with OpenAi, per Reuters.
Semafor recently just reported that the funding amount may total $29 billion.
OpenAi has done multiple ventures, most recently ChatGPT and Dall-E 2.
OpenAi has stated its goal is developing friendly AI in a way that benefits AI as a whole. It was foudned by Sam Altman, Elon musk, and others, who collectively pledged $1 billion in 2015.
Musk stepped down in 2018 from the board.
Microsoft would own 49% of OpenAI after the investment
