What is leveraged forex trading?
Leveraged foreign exchange trading, also known as margin trading, allows investors to invest in foreign exchange by borrowing a certain amount of the money needed and using the "leverage effect". An investor buys or sells a foreign currency on margin with the expectation that it will strengthen or weaken relative to another currency. Therefore, any profit or loss is floating until the position is closed, and only when the position is closed will the profit or loss be realized. In other words, even if an investor's position has a floating profit today, it may turn into a loss tomorrow. The final profit or loss will depend on the price difference between the opening and closing of the specified foreign currency contract.

open a forex account, deposit funds, and place an order. Here is how you can do it:

1. Open a forex account
Currently, you must have an SG universal account before you can open a forex account.
To open a forex account, you can:
Step 1: Click "Market" and search for "Forex".

2. Deposit funds
Currently, you can deposit or withdraw funds in or from your forex account only via "Cash Transfer".
With "Cash Transfer", you can transfer funds from your securities account to your forex account. The funds transferred will arrive in your account in real time without any service fee.
To transfer funds, you can:
Tap the "Trade" tab, select "Forex Account", and go to the forex account page;
Tap the "Cash Transfer" button to access the "Cash Transfer" page.

3. Place an order
Place an order to open a position
You can open a position on the "Trade" page. To do so, you can:
Tap the "Trade" tab to enter the forex account page, tap "Quick Open", and enter a currency pair code;
Go to the quotes page of a certain currency pair, and tap "Open" in the bottom left corner to enter the "Trade" page;

Place an order to close a position
You can close a position also on the "Trade" page. To do so, you can:
Go to the quotes page of a specific currency pair, tap "Close" in the bottom left corner to enter the "Trade" page, and select the position that you want to close;
Select a specific forex position, and tap "Close" or "Take Profit/ Stop Loss" below to enter the "Trade" page.
