  • WallStreetYoda : just takes times somtimes to push back it will probably come hard when it does with no pull backs untill 4%+ or somthing like that

  • The Value Investor WallStreetYoda: I don’t agree with you on much, but that’s probably true. I would imagine Tesla is approaching or is in oversold levels. But whatever recovery it has likely won’t be enough to erase the losses suffered thus far. I’ll be looking to enter my position when its at least ~ 25% lower than its current price. Fundamental could improve by then, so maybe even higher.

  • WallStreetYoda The Value Investor: ive ben wrong latly with tesla

  • The Value Investor WallStreetYoda: could also just fall a lot more. From a short term perspective its better to just look at the market, if you think the market is heading lower, Tesla will definitely fall as well, likely underperforming. Unless there is some crazy news, but I can’t think of anything that could change the tides short term. I’m still bearish on the NASDAQ. I may be presumptuous with this, but I see 9,000 on the index.

    This is purely speculation:

I would imagine smart money is rotating away from stocks and towards safer alternatives. On average the market returns like 7-8% annually, maybe more with dividends. There’s also a lot of fear of recession and a crash. Keeping all these in mind it makes sense to head towards safer places to park money. Real estate, bonds, t-notes, etc. As rates go up, cash is king you can park your cash in a bond for higher rates. Series I bonds have rates at ~7%. You can get a guaranteed safe return while watching the market crash and then use the cash to buy once its safe.

Historically real estate follows inflation as well. Housing not only shows room for price appreciation but also provides income. Cash is king during a recession, I think a lot of the big money will keep that in mind.

Lastly, tax loss harvesting because we’re at the end of the year. Very likely people will sell their losing positions for a tax loss harvest. Maybe they’ll buy back in, but I think they will wait a while or move their money elsewhere.
