Hits and Misses

Looking back on 2022, I was spot on in buying Macau casinos when their stock prices were depressed by China's zero covid policy. Made a profit when China relaxed the rules recently. Also made some money buying Twitter when it was still uncertain whether Elon would follow through with his plans to buy/back out. Worst trade and Biggest loss was my bet on Astra space due to the unreliability of their rockets & failure of their latest launch. It would be a very merry Xmas for me if TGTX's multiple sclerosis drug rise on speculation ahead of the FDA decision on whether to approve the drug or otherwise on 28 Dec 2022. The signs are good i.e. FDA has initiated drug labelling discussion and several funds had recently increased their position. Whether I make a net profit or loss for the entire 2022 depends on the FDA decision on 28 Dec. Looking ahead to 2023, I am betting that vacasa and Astra space will turn around.
