I cannot stop negative macro condition like inflation or recession. Powell hated this sticky problem too. US FED has only one solution that's raise interest rate to kill demand but that will crash the stock market. It is painful to see your stocks lose money or sold at a loss.
Solution:
1. Ask for help on how to diversify your portfolio to buy defensive stocks.
2. There is always this fear in us to sell when the share price keeps dropping. You need to find ways to manage your emotion - encourage each other to hold on to your stock based on your investment goal. It's wise to keep enough emergency fund.
3. Ignore the problem for a while if it is beyond your control. Go on to your daily to routine like exercise, mediation, meet up with friends, play with your pet etc. You just can't micro-manage your investment.
Bottom line
Rule #5 Stay calm. It's ok not to have everything figured out. Know that in time, you'll get there (solve the problem).

cola1010 : What I think is the unsolved market-related problem is inaccurate information or basic market uncertainty. Fake news can lead to poor investment decisions; inaccuracies can be malicious rumours, or even corporate financial fraud. Fake news is increasingly being spread via social media. The bad thing is the company's earnings may suffer.
