Risk management with trailing stop
Sometimes, once I enter a position, I immediately put in a trailing stop of 1%.
That’s my risk tolerance. For any trade, I am prepared to make a 1% loss if the trade doesn’t go the way I expect it.
Sometimes I break even, sometimes I make more than 1%, sometimes I make 2-3% (which is my target profit), sometimes it goes to the moon.
Of course with a 1% trailing stop I’ll always make 1% less than what I could have made, but who can tell for sure where the bottom is?
It takes all the guesswork and emotions out of the trade, which is the Achilles’ Heel of most losing traders.

ofcandlesandsticksOP : See what happens when I don't put in the trailing stop?
I lost 3/4 of what I had won.
iamtheboneofmyswordd : Hi bro, is this options trading?
ofcandlesandsticksOP iamtheboneofmyswordd: No. It’s stocks.

Zhiyins : Is a loss of 1% an immediate stop loss
ofcandlesandsticksOP Zhiyins: Very often yes. But there are also exceptions. Do you use margin?
It can range from 1-2% of immediate trailing stop loss. That’s the most conservative.
