here is a post I did answering the questions about "risk on"
HYG is the bond market. the bond market dwarfs the stock market in size and value. HYG is the riskier side of the bond market (High Yield). When HYG goes up it means risk ON!!! Risk is exactly what it sounds like, when risk is on, it means money is willing to go after more risky assets, like STOCKS, and even risky stocks (the ones really beaten down. thats why I'm in snap). I hope that explained it some
