Morgan Stanley sampled a few $Tesla(TSLA.US)$investors and detected what Wall Street has long posited: Chief Executive Elon Musk's "involvement" with Twitter Inc. "has contributed to negative sentiment momentum" in the stock. Tesla fell more than 1%, with nearly 1.49 million options traded and 56.2% of calls option.
Chinese giant $Alibaba(BABA.US)$ Group is offloading around a 3% stake in food delivery services provider Zomato worth around $200 million through block deals on Wednesday, according to a CNBC Awaaz report on Tuesday, citing sources.
$Shopify(SHOP.US)$ said Tuesday that the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend set a new sales record this year as consumer spending increased across several countries. The e-commerce platform reported sales of $7.5 billion during the period from independent businesses globally, up 19% from a year earlier, led by apparel and accessories. Shopify said more than 52 million consumers bought from brands on its platform, up 18% over 2021.
$Bank of America(BAC.US)$ lays out its view of 2023, saying it sees a mild US recession driven by weaker investment and consumer spending. The BofA economics team also expects inflation to fall to 3.2% by 4Q23.
