What is the value of non-dividend stocks?

What is the value of non-dividend stocks? From various websites and video's I understand that a stock represent partial ownership of a company or a company's profits. With dividend stocks I understand that you get a portion of the profits of a company and are able to vote in shareholder meetings. With non-divident stocks you only get to vote but if the company doesn't share the profits with their shareholders, why would you care about voting rights if it doesn't impact you? So far the only profit from non-dividend stocks is that you can sell it to someone else for more if the company becomes more valuable. But why would the stock price appreciate if the company does well?
