So when something unexpected pops out, usually it's going to be the catalyst for dramatic change. Especially when positive news shows up in a pessimistic environment, the contrast may bring out a huge upward/downward momentum inside the stock market.

there is about 10 months lag for prices to begin falling. market is crashing but cpi is not coming down like previous market crashes. so the market is not causing cpi to spike, the market is just reacting to the real cause of the spike: supply disruptions, war, oil, etc.
lightfoot : I wouldn't invest on it. Too many variables can raise or drop a stock. Revenue is great, eps to, price falls CEO announces resignation. Block orders pushing Market Cap upwards is very positive for short tun. The more time u spend buying and selling the same stock u get to know it. So many methods and variables. Make a list What drives a stock up and what takes it down. ? The best advice Get yo know your stock, how it trends
Milk The Cow : I think it may has slow down a bit ty to the FED. However, some analysts hoped that the FED will reduce the hiking because of an alternate 1 time good CPI result & has already price in the valuation that the FED is going to reduce the hiking (which has yet to happen)

Inflation is still considered high
The FED should continue with their origin plan. If inflation jump back up, then they will be forever labelled as lazy in the history for not doing their job because of a 1 time slack
