What Could Social Media Look Like In 2023 And Beyond?
The realm of social media has changed so much over the past few years that it has become challenging to stay on top of the game. With Elon Musk taking over $Twitter (Delisted)(TWTR.US$and facebook changing its name to $Meta Platforms(META.US$, we are expecting a big change over the way we social with each other online.
The advent of TikTok posed a significant threat to the existing social media platform like facebook, instagram, snapshot. The business model of the previous social media giant remains the same, that is, advertising is the major income. Yet TikTok is putting e-commerce and social media closer than ever before.
Apart from business model, the way we social with one another might be changed dramatically if Meta reaches milestones in AI development. I don't like Mark Zuckerberg personally, but he did deserve a name in the tech history. When almost all tech companies' founder retreated behind the scenes, Zuckerberg remains in strong control over the realm he created. Its Q3 earnings disappointed investors and the market reacted badly with it. I wouldn't invest in it in a short term as well, but I do admire his personality that he commits in something he believes when others might think he's crazy. It take strength to go against the world.
