Do you like Halloween? Yes for me, I like the Halloween customes and decoration. However, it is not common to celebrate in Singapore (not a declared holiday ![]()
). Halloween is absolutely one of the greatest festive in United States. It's a joy to have children come to your door. You feel great handing out candy, smiling at the costumes, and admiring how cute the kids are dressed.
Do you have any horror stories about investing to share with us? Someone I knew dumped money to go short sale trading (leveraged investing) in a bearish market and ended up losing all investment money, then couldn't stand it with the debts and lost his life. Everytime I think of him and I constantly remind myself not to do this. Don’t try to position yourself and time the markets. If you are disciplined and patient, good returns will come to you sooner or later. Otherwise, you will be incorrectly positioned for toothpicks only. FOMO, or the fear of missing out, is a common occurrence. Using FOMO to motivate investing decisions, on the other hand, frequently leads to emotional trades that aren't well researched and could result in significant losses.
Another is that the stocks you bought are all in bear markets. Before purchase, all stocks are green, and after purchase, all stocks are red 😭. Do I make the wrong choice? This is something similar when you're driving and notice another lane is moving faster, you change lanes and end up moving slower. Regrettably, it was both sad and terrifying!! ![]()
