Oil and gas stocks

Looking to put in a little cash into oil and gas. Been hearing about the rise of gas and how it’s gonna start up again, so I figure get in before it’s jumped. Just curious if y’all think an etf such as $Invesco Dynamic Energy Exploration &Production Etf(PXE.US)$ , $Ishares Trust Us Oil&Gas Explor & Prod(IEO.US)$ or $First Trust Natural Gas ETF(FCG.US)$ are preferred over something like $BP PLC(BP.US)$ or $Chevron(CVX.US)$ .
