I purchased $500 of GOOGL and $500 of MSFT, was this pointless?
I’m new to investing. For the last few months, I’ve been DCA’ing into an ETF bi-weekly which I plan to do for the next 20-30 years.
Today I purchased $500 of $Alphabet-A(GOOGL.US$ and $500 of $Microsoft(MSFT.US$ , which I don’t plan to add to but instead just hold for the next 20-30 years as well. My question is whether this was pointless and if I would have been better off just putting the $1000 into the ETF?
