Long-Term Investing

First and foremost, one must think of investing for long-term investing to get rid of negative emotions. As for market downturn, depends how you look at it.. Is it a bane or boon? Since I'm in for the long haul, its a boon for me as it gives me a good opportunity to buy more of the stocks which I have currently in my portfolio (US & SG markets).

As recession seems to linger in the near future, I've been accumulating cash acting as 'dry powder' to fire when the time comes. New millionaires are made during times of recessions. History had shown that and will continue to do so as long as stock markets exist.
