What’s the Argument for Tesla EV supremacy within the next 10 years?

I like the stock and I think Elons a swell guy and all; and this may be a stupid question; but what are we banking on?
Sure they’re fast but are we sure they’re going to stay on top of the market for the next 10 years? BMW and Mercedes have been making leaps and bounds with their technology recently, not to mention KIA who just released an 800hp monster. There’s a lot more competition now and I’m seeing these cars pop up all over my city.
On top of that, they’re pretty basic and not as fun as some of the other brands.
If I were to say they’re going to stay on top, it’d be because they focus more on energy storage and shift away from cars.
No hate please, I’m thinking about putting a lot into them is the only reason I’m asking. Car companies are hard to run and I have faith this guy knows what he’s doing, he clearly does.
I could also see Tesla becoming the next Toyota of cars (cheap but plentiful cars) however I don’t see them competing with upper end brands for much longer.
