$Apple(AAPL.US)$ (Apple Search Ads) is gaining ground across the digital ads landscape, challenging $Alphabet-C(GOOG.US)$ and $Meta Platforms(META.US)$ (FaceBook) 's longtime industry domination, according to the latest research--- Mobile App Advertising Benchmark Report by InMobi's Appsumer.
The research suggests that Apple's ad business has advantage after the iOS privacy update last year, so called App Tracking Transparency (ATT), which undercut the user-tracking efforts of app developers. iPhone users could agree to share their data across apps and have the option to opt-out of tracking. Thus, companies like Facebook and $Snap Inc(SNAP.US)$ get harder to track users across the internet.

I think the momentum we are seeing from Apple is twofold: one, is the native nature of its ad placements which yields better performance generally; second, their attribution approach is different to everyone else — thanks to ATT — which also gives them a slight edge."

Apple's Digital Ad Business Is Gaining an Edge Over Google and Facebook, Here Is Why.
Apple is currently looking to hire key ad managers for its new ad platform in New York. Also, the company plan to enlarge its ad team by twice, according to a Financial Times report.
Investment bank $Evercore(EVR.US)$conducted research showing Apple's ad business just a few hundred million dollars of revenue in the late 2010s to about $5 billion in 2022. They estimate Apple to have a $30bln ads business within four years.
However, what Apple's ad business going forward looks like remains hazy. Since consumer privacy issues could be down the line in the future, we don't know enough about what other ad products Apple is building on.
They're building something, we just don't know what it is... you don't know what the product is yet, so it's hard to see yet how those privacy concerns could play out."
--- Andrew Boone, analyst at Citizens-owned JMP Securities told Yahoo Finance.
