Mooer comment
@TeslaSmurf:
I see nothing special, but the normal downtrend after the split. Last time it was 1 week long and lost almost half of the gain built up prior to the split. I have been buying and trading TSLL since then, all the way down, and holding the TSLA portfolio which is still positive.

Mooer comment
@Felix py:
I don't really trust the green $SPDR S&P 500 ETF(SPY.US)$ action, especially the way it fell down so hard this week. If $390 breaks, watch out. As long as it stays above $390, will be decent.

@Zerocool888:
None of the things you witness are actual numbers. AMC and APE are being steered by HFs to benefit them and they are controlling SEC as well. Pre and post-market are the worst. You have been witnessing the price keeps falling only.

@bulls-eye:
now that every drop... is an opportunity to buy at a lower price and bring down the average.. then wait for the day it shoots up to the moon. we should be happy when it drops. especially when that window of opportunity opens. need to take action of course.

    What do you usually do when the market is down?

  • iamiam : when the market is down I buy $ProShares UltraPro Short QQQ ETF (SQQQ.US)$ as downside protection, I hold it as long as the trend is strong.

  • HopeAlways : I have learned the importance of patience in investing, especially when the market ia down. Human nature, or at least my own impulses, can lead me astray. It is very challenging to remain patient when the stock market moves and changes so quickly. Opportunies arise and disappear in an instant with both human and computerised eyes constantly monitoring the market, scouring the horizon for good investing opportunities. Still, patience is an important but often underused investment skill that many should develop more fully. Patience can be learned, learning it well can help one attain the desired financial goals.

  • Syuee : There are only two things which come to my mind, when the market is down :

    1 ) Sit back and relax. Spend time ogling the cute MooMoo mascot collection undefined . Go on a short holiday and enjoy.

    Every time the stock market is down, it has bounced back again and tried to reach newer heights.

    2 ) Be an aggressive investor.

    Pump in more money.

    When the market is down, I see it as a bumper sale with heavy discount on my favourite stocks.

    An aggressive trader / investor would pump in more capital and buy fundamentally sound companies, which are available at cheaper prices, and whose prices fell only because of the panic created.

    It requires courage~ and a heavy heart to buy because, in the case of a stock market crash, the stocks are falling but we do not know till what point they will stop falling further, as markets can not be timed.

    Here, buying good stocks in such market is similar to catching a falling knife. undefined

    Though riskier, it can reward one handsomely, if the right stock is selected.

    Hence, stock market tests the patience. And, all one has to have is faith.

    When the market is down, we can look at it as an incredible opportunity to buy stocks at a huge discount.

    Remember, the market ALWAYS recovers.

    As long as you have a long term horizon, buying when the market goes lower, is the winning strategy.

    After all, isn’t a sale the best time to buy anything ? undefined

  • HopeAlways Syuee: Warren Buffett, and other investment experts would advise: when stocks are down, 'don't watch the market closely'.

  • Syuee HopeAlways: Benjamin Graham, known as the “father of value investing,” knew the importance of patience in investing.

    Patience and investing are actually natural partners ! undefined

  • ZnWC Syuee: “With love and patience, nothing is impossible.” ~ Daisaku Ikeda
    I think you have both. ❤️🧘‍♀️

  • ZnWC Syuee: Thanks for sharing 🌹

  • ZnWC : "Be greedy when others are fearful"
    As new investor, I often heard the above quote when the market is down. However I think not many fully understood that it is not blindly buying the dip. You will need to do research, collect data and past experience to support your decision how to buy.
