CNNWF vs. CNWGY
Called broker: my understanding,
CNNWF is an ordinary share. Your broker might charge you a nominal foreign fee for buying and selling. (Not a big deal). CNNWF, ordinary share, you have direct ownership control of the stock if there is corporate action.
CNWGY is an ADR. A European way of bundling a ratio of the stock like roughly 3:1 of the ordinary share in order to avoid some buy and sell fees. ADR stocks have “middle men” (fiduciary bank control) and you may have less control of the stock when corporate action occurs.
