Inflation is the rate of increase in prices over a given period of time, so most people feel the effects of cost-of-living increases in their daily lives, especially the food, lifestyle, all daily expenses are increased drastically. The impacts are: Erodes purchasing power, raises interest rate, hurts the poor with higher expensesand so on.
A price increase, it means the customers will buy less product, meaning the company will lose the sales, it would impair the economy's long-term performance.
Below are some insights for the portfolio:

US stocks:
- The investors should buy low and sell high: In a falling stock market environment, there are still good investment opportunities : energy and healthcare stocks are attractive areas, especially during recessions.
- Holding stocks that can weather the recession, such as banks, food and Pharmaceutical companies.

Diversification:
- As Asian economies are reopening, the outlook for domestic demand in Asia is improving and then the valuations are good once market sentiment improves. The chinese assets are a good target for diversification, due to China starting to loosen epidemic prevention and control restrictions, and also the technology industry.
- To look for real estate, energy commodities and value stocks, as these historically outperformed during periods of high or rising inflation.
- Gold, commodities, etc. are perfect hedge against inflation.
