Broseph : there are reasons for that. the uncertainty around interest rates, the thought was that we were nearing the end of increased rates but feds announced they may still be aggressive on rates to continue to counter inflation.
then the whole 2 trillion option derivatives that expired. not even sure how we know how if those options were rolled over to next month. but the uncertainty is likely why we are seeing red.
then there is also the possibility that the market is gearing up for what's coming Monday. Citadel and Blackrock are the largest investment firms in the world. millions of people retirement are linked to them. if there was a time to have the MM manipulate the market to avoid a similar squeeze to 2008 VW this would be it. If there is actual manipulation, we are going to see a controlled run on APE like we have seen with recent IPOs.
