Ryan Cohen is taking profit? I wonder how much will he sell??

Disclosure: I hold a bullish position in BBBY.
If he sell off everything, that will be the biggest pump and dump scheme in history Or is he filing in anticipation of BBBY MOASS that is happening soon? Or is he just selling some to take profit only?
As per a form 144 filing, $GameStop(GME.US)$ chairman Ryan Cohen’s RC Ventures has filed to sell at least a portion of his 9.45M shares of $Bed Bath & Beyond Inc(BBBY.US)$ through $JPMorgan Chase & Co. Holdings(BK2622.US)$ Securities.

Filing the form doesn't mean he will sell but if he did not file the form we know he 100% won't sell. Now he just have the choice to sell.

  • razo2 : guys please see real evidence rather than speculation news.

  • doctorpot1OP razo2: the article did point to a repo for the so card fillings though. https://www.sec.gov/corpfin/form-144-email. Probably need to look through those documents.

But profit taking is normal, it will be weird if he don't sell some when he have 5x his investment. Hope he don't sell all undefinedundefined

  • helpful Monkey_4593 : He is not selling. He had to file that he owns the shares. There is no filing stating he is selling.

  • razo2 : bro use your common sense here. why on earth will he file a Form 3 few days back just to sell his position. second, do you know that BBBY is going through a Reg Sho next week forcing short sellers to buy their shorts? why on earth will he selling when we clearly passed the 15 USD and 8 USD short?

  • false_prophet : FAKE NEWS! propaganda intended to mislead retail investors by the hedge fund we are up against, because the rich controls the news outlets -- i.e. the hedge funds we've bet against and cornered into submission own the vast majority of the financial news media and and so scared they've quit even pretending to play fair, and are now desperately slinging mud and throwing rocks hoping to shake enough paper hands off of this to get back their footing again.
    🙏 🦧 🙌🛑 Stop panic selling!!! We'll moon soon. 👩‍🚀🚀💰💸🌖 DON'T SELL. STAY STRONG. 💎🤲🦍💯

  • doctorpot1OP helpful Monkey_4593: updated the post. according to SEC, filing 144 is to state your intention to sell, but it doesn't mean he will sell. Just that if he did not file it, he 100% won't sell. Now he just have a choice to.

  • doctorpot1OP razo2: According to the SEC form 144 is filed to state your intention to sell, it doesn't mean he will sell. but if he doesn't file it, he cannot sell.

Maybe he is expecting that on Friday the MOASS will happen? and he want to sell? he is still an investors, his goal is to earn money and not be a bag holder. if BBBY squeeze to $300 won't he want to sell?

  • doctorpot1OP false_prophet: I hope it is fake news too but, I looked through the SEC filing. it is there

  • helpful Monkey_4593 doctorpot1OP: Look at table II on the form. Nothing has been filed stating he is selling. He also bought out of the money call options between 60 to 80 dollars for January. I think he will take advantage of selling these shares once the price is much higher, but definitely not now while the price is under 30.

  • doctorpot1OP helpful Monkey_4593: Yea, he did not sell yet as of 16 Aug. Table 1 states what he intent to sell which is all of his position. So maybe he sold, maybe he didn't. Maybe he will, maybe he wouldn't.
Regardless, of what he is going to do, the truth is important. Investors use them to make investment decision and decide if they want to take the risk. I can afford risk, so I'm still holding my position.
