57.91% returns in 30 days!?

Hello Mooers,

Welcome back from my previous post 'Is it getting crazier out there?'!

On today's topic, we will be discussing on using 'Short Sales' data that can give us awesome returns.

Mooers can access 'Short Sales' data via Markets > Explore > Featured List > Short Sales.

For this, I did a simple research by using the 'Short Sales' data for the past 30 trading days (01 Jul 2022 to 12 Aug 2022).

So, let me present you with the Jul 2022 data.
57.91% returns in 30 days!?
In Jul 2022, we can get an average gain of 38.81% by trading the stock that have the highest short volume change. The top 3 stocks that will gave us the highest gain will be GOVX (150.39% gain), ADXN (110.4% gain) and AYLA (94.25% gain).

Also, take note that we select the second highest short volume change stock on 6 Jul 2022 as the highest one was an unknown stock with unknown symbol, as shown here.

Next, we had the Aug 2022 data. (*up to 12 Aug 2022)
57.91% returns in 30 days!?
In Aug 2022, we can get an average gain of 96.123% by trading the stock that has the highest short volume change. The top 3 stocks that will gave us the highest gain will be NVTA (276.86% gain), AMTD (236.54% gain) and HLBZ (114.64% gain).

Although the result shows that we can get an average gain of 57.91% by trading the stock that has the highest short volume change, we should note that it only shows us the past 30 tradings days for the period of 01 Jul 2022 to 12 Aug 2022. Thus, we should always remember to DYODD (Do your own due diligence) when making any kind of investment.

Therefore, would you trade the stock that has the highest short volume change every single trading day?
