Another DiDi Joint Venture filed for bankruptcy as they end their 4 years partnership
Chinese ride-hailing firm $DiDi Global Inc(DIDIY.US$'s joint venture with $Li Auto(LI.US$, known as Chehejia, has applied for bankruptcy, according to a court filing, pointing to the end of a four-year-old partnership to make electric vehicles (EV).
This partnership was started in 2018 to develop smart EV for ride-hailing services. DiDi also struck parnership with other major automakers such as $VOLKSWAGEN AG(VLKAF.US$, $Toyota Motor(TM.US$ and $BYD COMPANY(01211.HK$ to adopt more EVs with autonomous driving technologies in its fleets. Most collaborations with Didi to co-develop EV made little progress, other then the collaboration with BYD.
Previously, DiDi car sharing arm is reported to be filing for bankruptcy too. This business is heavily involved in the autonomous driving business too.
