JP_mykayaplusOP iceswimmer: We live in an uncertain world now! So to hedge against uncertainties, best to go to industroes that are certain. Fast moving consumer goods, banks and REITs are certain as we cannot live without them.
The semiconductor is always a cyclical industry. This time around, we see semiconductor stocks at their low versus during 1-2 years ago when they were high.
That said, if you are a long term investor, invest for more than 5 years time horizon, the cyclical nature should not bother you.
You only need to be afraid if you are a short term trader!
JP_mykayaplusOP TAISHO99: The S51 industry is very capital-heavy. Although there seems to be a slight rebound recently, from a fundamental point of view, higher interest rates will be detrimental to companies in the capital-heavy industry
