If you are thinking about buying

$Alibaba(BABA.US)$

Think twice.

Look around at these degenerated hype comments with no meaningful content. They are probably just the noisy few, not the majority.

China has been in a lockdown for zero covid and the economic activities in their major cities are near zero as well.

Their local banks are stealing money from the people, not allowing withdrawals of any money deposited.

Their developers are either in the midst of defaulting, delaying or handing over half done properties and that are inhabitable.

In return, the people are defaulting on their loan as a form of protest in an atempt to freeze liquidity in the country for these developers.

You think this is just general market sentiment and nothing to do with Alibaba? Fine, let's talk about Baba then..

Zero Covid Policy froze many, if not, all economic activities in the country. Declining purchase power has also significantly reduce their domestic consumption.

Logistics and supply chain issue has impacted the sales of online shopping platforms. Things take longer and costlier to be made and delivered to customer.

Now about the delisting. People will want you to believe that this is due to US cronyism but everyone is on the same playing field. All companies have to be audited in the same standard (and yet there is still a room for fraud), imagine a company that decides on itself that it is not using US's audit standard.

Look at all the 'News' related to Baba. Strive to remain listed in HK and NYSE. As if this is something that require "striving". Being listed is probably one of the things a stock minimally will need. Stocks strive to outperform, stocks don't strive to stay listed. Think about it, if a person is striving just to stay alive, you wouldn't call him healthy. He is probably on his deathbed already.

Now who is the true owner of Baba? It's the CCP and their members, and do you think when push comes to shove, they will want to be transparent and risk internal dissent? Their easy way out is to make up excuses and delist voluntarily and make it sounds like they are being bullied.

NFA but I am shorting till it breaks new low and only progressively cover 1 no of stock at one time.
