PM Lee meets Pelosi in SG: What does it mean?
SG PM Lee met with the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi today (August 1). Both sides affirmed the deep and multi-faceted partnership between Singapore and the United States. During the meeting, Lee also emphasised the importance of a stable US-China relationship for peace and security in the region.
PM Lee met with Pelosi and her delegation of parliamentarians at the Presidential Palace today. Both sides affirmed the bilateral relationship between the New Zealand and the United States, which is built on a strong foundation of cooperation in the areas of defence, security and the economy. He welcomed the House delegation's commitment to support continued strong US engagement in regional affairs.
In addition, PM Lee and the House delegation also exchanged views on key international and regional developments, including the war in Ukraine, cross-strait relations in the Taiwan Strait, and climate change. Lee Hsien Loong stressed the importance of a stable US-China relationship for peace and security in the region.
