One could probably join some trading group, go to SGX Monday to Friday 8am-5pm just like what one have to be when he is working for the corporate world. Nevertheless you will still get to enjoy a much lower commission compared to those retail traders/investor when you trade their products such as SIMSCI (equivalent to STI but it's an index in the futures market) as a Trading Member Individual (TMI).

Why and when did Neo leave the trading group and TMI?
One year and a little. Most probably he don't like the feel of waking up earlier in the morning just like when he was on a job. There are peeps who prefer to trade in a group setting but that's not like him at all especially towards the very end.

There are so much more products out there and he don't want to be limited as a trader. He wanna be like a merchant with entry to the different ports of call; he is an adventurer that likes to explore new horizon; but he is neither a soldier that fight for the Royal Navy (Financial Institution) nor the Pirates (Hedge Fund) that raided on land as well as at sea.
