False Breakouts or Liquidation Events

in the chart below you can see a potential false breakout or liquidation event. the liquidation event happens often in forex markets. and ever since cryptocurrencies came around it is even more common with cryptocurrencies. basically the market makers, or whoever is controlling price action, provide a false breakout to the upside or to the downside instigating investors to enter into our exit positions. this causes tons of liquidity which gives hedge funds and investment Banks the opportunity to unload or enter into large positions.
the aggravating thing about these liquidation events is often the price action appear to be breaking out towards one direction and then they completely changed directions stop everybody out of their position.
sometimes it is safe to let the liquidation event play out before you enter into a position. sometimes you can miss out on some potential gains but it is much less risky to let the liquidation event play out and allow the market to choose the correct and true direction.
just look in the picture below how this liquidation event occurred perfectly at the end of a wedge pattern and at the top of a price channel near resistance. this is where all investors eyes are watching. is liquidation event also happened right around the time when Bitcoin Futures start trading on the commodities exchanges.
this is suspiciously convenient for the market makers isn't it?
