Could lockdown in China be a thing of the past?

China had always watched closely how Singapore handles certain issues. Is lockdown the solution for covid? Not if the world doesn't lockdown and the need for interaction with the world. A draconian strict covid policy might prevent huge covid death but starting to show that the cons may outweigh the pros.
China is now starting to adopt a vaccine mandate for visiting public places. This is a move that was taken in 2021 by Singapore the city state. This could mean China is starting to explore other alternatives other than zero covid lockdowns. Another alternative which limits its covid death and yet allows China to transit to living with covid. There were covid deaths in Singapore when the city state started to transit to living with covid but mostly are unvaccinated. With its high vaccination rate, Singapore is able to prevent a huge number of deaths compared to countries like the USA.
