  • Ah keong : How did you study investment in the first place? Did someone show you the way?

At the beginning, I read some articles about Japanese candlesticks and technical indicators.

I have no direction. There is no one to guide me. Then I met my college roommate, who changed my investment journey forever. He lent me a book called Smart Investor.

    Soon, I was fascinated.

Q: did you explore it yourself? Or do you have the support of friends / family?

I usually explore and invest by myself. I remember that when I first joined the industry, the advice I got was simple: buy stocks in high-quality companies and don't choose too much. But I'm stubborn...

At first, I thought I could play better by chasing the complex strategies used by hot hedge fund managers-"turnarounds" or "special situations". It hardly brings huge benefits, but it brings a lot of fluctuations and a lot of fluctuations. There's something wrong with a lot of my stocks. It's tiring.

I realized that my total return was not worth the risk and time I took. I gradually developed a more sustainable strategy. This allowed me to strike a balance between time and profit.
