Purchase NIO USD in SG MKT
Anybody can guide me how to purchase NIO USD shares for SG mkt when all my funds are in US Margin account? When I went to trade, it shows 0 avail to buy but I have avail cash in my US Margin account. Is it need to ccy convert from US Margin account(USD) to FUTU Universal account (SGD) then can perform the trade but it will transact in USD(exchange rate at point of trxn) from my SGD in the FUTU universal account?

HODLx100OP strangecloud: Because when I clicked on trade for (NIO-SG) , the amount is in USD, which means at point of trxn, it will deduct my SGD in equivalent to the transacted USD amount?
CM8668 : nio is traded in usd. you need to have usd cash in your universal account to buy shares on cash basis.
dinotay : You can go to the currency exchange and change your US dollars into new dollars before you buy nio new dollars.
windstay : I also have the same question. I suspect you need to go to “More” under “Trade” tab, and choose “Cash Transfer” to transfer USD from US account to FUTU Universal account, so that you have USD in the FUTU Universal account which is the account for trading in SG market
HODLx100OP CM8668: but when i choose my USD margin account to perform the ccy exchange from, I can only perform ccy to SGD/HKD TO the universal account. So is it i need to ccy conversion to SGD /HKD to my universal account and then perform ccy conversion once again from SGD/HKD to USD under my universal account? but it would mean I have to incur extra fx loss

windstay HODLx100OP: Nope haven’t tried it cos currently still prefer to trade in US market. You can try transferring minimal amount over to test test first just to be safe. Good luck!
