BiliBili makes efforts in peer competition: Launch Story-Mode

Since BiliBili joined the Story-Mode on the mobile terminal at the end of 2020, the traffic of vertical video on the home page entrance has exceeded 17% in 2022. This series of measures have been interpreted by the industry as "the official Tiktok signal of BiliBili".
However, the vertical short video of BiliBili still retains the barrage function (Kuaishou and Video numbers have been added to the barrage function) and the horizontal screen switching option, so as to make some product differentiation from Tiktok.
Short video also helps BiliBili improve user stickiness. Chen Rui, chairman and CEO of BiliBili, mentioned in the financial report telephone discussion that "the DAU penetration of Story-Mode has exceeded 20%, and the rate of users' likes has reached 30%. In the future, its penetration will exceed 50% or even higher."
