1. End-2022 target for S&P 500 from institutions
Morgan Stanley strategists see the S&P 500 trading close to 3,400 in mid-August as they think the current earnings estimates remain too high.
BTIG's chief market technician thinks the S&P 500 may decline to around 3,500 by this summer. And before that, the S&P 500 may trade between 3,800 to 4,250.
Goldman strategists' S&P 500 end-year target is 4,300, assuming no recession. But if there is a recession, the target will be 3,600.
Strategists' average S&P 500 end-year target is 4,743, according to a Bloomberg survey.
