Singapore shares opened lower on Tuesday. The $富時新加坡海峽指數(.STI.SG)$ decreased 0.75 per cent to 3115.96 as at 9:01 am.

Advancers / Decliners is 17 to 101, with 76.21 million securities worth S$60.36 million changing hands.

Nine in 10 restaurants and hotels find difficulty in hiring talent

A vast majority, or 97%, of employers in restaurants and hotels will have difficulty filling in the need talent in 2022 amidst the sign of market recovery, a survey from employment agency firm, Manpower Group, said.
This was followed by other services with 89%, construction with 88%, wholesale and retail trade with 87%, education with 85%, manufacturing with 81%, and banking and finance with 80%.
Survey results showed that more than eight in 10 employers report difficulty in filling roles, which is up by 20% from 2021.

$FRASERS PROPERTY LIMITED(TQ5.SG)$ & $FRASERS HOSPITALITY TRUST(ACV.SG)$ : Frasers Property Hospitality Trust Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary ofFrasers Property, is proposing to privatise Frasers Hospitality Trust through a trust scheme of arrangement.

The privatisation will shave over S$1.3 billion worth of value from the local bourse.

$Sembcorp Marine(S51.SG)$ : Sembmarine has bagged a US$150 million EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract from Emgepron, a state-owned company linked to the Ministry of Defence in Brazil.
Under the EPC contract, Sembmarine will construct a newbuild support vessel called the NApAnt, which will be deployed by the Brazilian Navy for scientific research under the Brazilian Antarctic Programme.
