Limit & Trailing Stop Limit Orders Are Not Being Filled

I often use limit orders or trailing stop limit orders on Questrade but they don't always get filled when they should.... Not sure if anyone else has the same problem?

What I do for trailing stop limit orders is place a buy order at a trailing percentage of 1% and an offset of like 5%. What this does is it buys the stock only if the stock increases by 1% and as long as it doesn't jump over 5%. I love this strategy because it allows me to always buy stocks that are in an uptrend while avoiding buying after a big jump. The only problem is that it doesn't always work when I feel like it should...

I tried purchasing low volatility stock that varied like 2% during entire day but for some reason my orders don't get filled.... Even when I check the bid and the ask gap, it's definitely not over 3% from what I understand. But for some reason I get a notification saying that my order failed.

The fact that this doesn't work is really starting to screw me over because I miss out on stock that should have been filled.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
