Energy sector is currently a momentum play. Problem with momentum plays is that when they reverse, they reverse hard and fast. Given the risk involved, it's best to be cautious at this late stage of the energy run, but perhaps the fact that Russia is being tossed for the most part from a global market constitutes a distinct and unique catalyst that will result in additional momentum. Also to be considered is that Saudi Arabia has already informed the world that it will not increase production -- they hate Biden and the Democrats because they withdrew support for their Yemen adventure.

standalee31 : I jumped on board, then abandoned ship. IMPP does not have the fundamentals like other energy and oil stocks. Could tank to the ground for all I know. Sure I may miss out on some profits, but proceed with caution. One big loss can wipe out all your small wins.

Russia is being kicked out (not their pipelines btw) of energy sales BY THE WEST that is only 20% of the WORLD so to say the Global market is not buying their energy is wrong 20% of the world is not buying oil shipments, that means by ship
And to say that Yemen is the reason for Saudi to hate Biden is a lazy media take. The real reasons are complex and have more to do with biden funding their enemies and destabilizing the middle east.
Varying opinions are always good, just thought I would share an opposing view. This is not the end of the energy "momentum" and yes it will selloff but after the market has taken everything else as far down as it can. But that's when you buy more energy, because this is still the early stages of the energy super cyle.
