Energy sector is currently a momentum play. Problem with momentum plays is that when they reverse, they reverse hard and fast. Given the risk involved, it's best to be cautious at this late stage of the energy run, but perhaps the fact that Russia is being tossed for the most part from a global market constitutes a distinct and unique catalyst that will result in additional momentum. Also to be considered is that Saudi Arabia has already informed the world that it will not increase production -- they hate Biden and the Democrats because they withdrew support for their Yemen adventure.

All things considered, I think the sector has more legs, but $5.00 per gallon could be the breaking point that crushes demand and takes the wind out of the sails. $SPDR S&P 500 ETF(SPY.US)$ $Invesco QQQ Trust(QQQ.US)$ $Camber Energy(CEI.US)$ $Imperial Petroleum(IMPP.US)$
