b34r : That's good news. But the profits will only show up next year earliest. The next two quarters are at best narrowing losses, and unlikely to stop the stock price sliding down for the rest of this year.
102161969 : What makes you think there is hope for Grab?
Firstly, although more people are taking rides, they might not be taking Grab.
Secondly, with experience with Grab so far... I will not want to bank with them.
Thirdly, everyone is eating out. GrabFood orders are dropping.
Also, drivers are driving other platforms.
Grab has no hope.

doctorpot1 what2buy: Gross merchandise value (GMV) is the total value of merchandise sold, so that is a measure of usage of the platform. Revenue is net of consumer, merchant and driver-partner incentives, which for this after covid period GRAB had to increase driver incentive crazy high to get them back on-board. Which is the case the many lawsuits are trying to get people to fight but like nothing is happening.

Q421 gmv $4.5b, revenue $112m
Q321 gmv $4b, revenue $158m
Q221 gmv $3.9b, revenue $180m
Q121 gmv $3.6b, revenue $216m
So if people are like what OP said, not using grab or abandoning grab. Then the GMV should drop and revenue will never see any increase at all. But that is not the case.
b34r : The grab bashing in this channel is curiously vehement and relatively baseless. But so is the occasional over-optimistic cheerleading. Thankfully by now it's obvious who are the more objective posters, and who are the ones just adding drama.
