MooMamaLlama : I have learnt not to touch a good thing!!!
Honestly if I had left my portfolio alone the last 48hrs I would have stayed on track for 2% gain even after all my losses!!....
but I panicked and touched it.
Now Im slightly in red again and below the top 12 on moomoo. Eeek!
I realised an extra paper portfolio to keep track of when I'm feeling bullish or panicky. sometimes I purchase the same stock I have on the other portfolio to see the different earnings off different strategies. Do I go long and wait? take small profit now? I can now do both and see what happens. See if my hunch was right, or was I way off? I am learning about my own strategies along with the market. I HAVE realised I have good hunches but sell too early quite often, missing out on a fair bit of profit so my main lesson is patience..Makes it much easier, (thanks moomoo)
Also, seriously try different geographical markets. I have AU,HK,CA,US in my portfolio along with *a separate sheet for cannabis growth in Australia as we just loosened a bunch of new regulations, yay!!* Different markets have different sectors gaining so it pays attention to follow world events. It all matters and has ripple effects. AU private debt market is big with huge debt and inflation here. A good hedge. CA AU loosening cannabis sector red tape. A growing market. Nasdaq losses for various reasons mean the tech sector is opening up for the rest of the world. Slowly but mark my words. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has had MANY ripple effects. Highlights the lack of diverse chip availability. Huge impacts on Oil, Grains, NatGas, Copper.
*those stocke are not always in my main portfolio, just a little extra cheat sheet to keep track of who is coming up and who is shrivelling after the last horrifying few weeks. Easier to adjust stock on my Main Portfolio accordingly (again, thanks moomoo) *
