Your average consumer isn’t buying as many goods as it used to. People are only stocking up on essentials when at Costco. Water, House Supplies, Non Perishable Food.
People are being cautious. They’re spending the same or more while buying less amount. (Inflation)
The only thing that COULD counteract this, could be the Gas Sales. Even that, people are reserving themselves from purchases to maybe fill up their tank.
I believe a run up with the market will happen until ER, then drop at Earnings.

Talklili : How US consumers are destined? COST is my favorite store to buy everyday spendables. But its best days may be over for a few years, as the huge wave from 2009 is finished, and it must pull back to correct the bubble. Minimum target is 307, but more likely even lower at a later.
