$Tesla(TSLA.US)$ Another gigafactory in Indonesia ? At first I thought it could be a strategic leak to push Indian government to open back the talks about lowering the import taxes, but re-considering those markets there is enough potential for a medium-size gigafactory. After all it is Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia. It may justify a car (maybe the cheaper model) and (mostly) battery factory. Most of all they will secure ALL the raw material needed for their worldwide production. Still, a factory in India will be needed at some point. Same in Brazil, the largest country in SouthAmerica (where I live), which has both raw materials and car-making labour skills. That’s why Elon is in closed talks with the Brazilian government too.
These are the FUNDAMENTAL facts upon which you should base you long term portfolio. The day trading is a TOTALLY different matter.

  • Ray2021 : The other aspect to consider is the incentive received to set up factory in the country and fuxed overhead costs.

  • 71170967 : I remember when you were buying long term at 880 levels and was laughing at you it’s even funnier now lmao

  • MoneyLord 71170967: Hahahaahah me too

  • TeslaSmurfOP Ray2021: Normally yes, but Tesla weighs any investment on strategic, marketing and environmental  factors: we saw how they turned back the 1Bn euros for the battery factory because they wanted to be free to use batteries from whatever source…

  • TeslaSmurfOP 71170967: I have bought them and will keep buying them at whatever price, I don’t really care, but I distinguish between the day trades and the long term portfolio. I have bought at 880, at 700 and at 650 too, minus the discount of the day trades gain, as I have some old ones at a much lower price. What matters for me is the quantity and the average cost (minus the day trade gains) because, no matter what, the stock will reach its target prices (then maybe drop, so I may sell 2/3 of the portfolio but ONLY to buy them back at a cheaper price) exactly as it did last year (1243), and the years before. This year will turn VERY good as soon as we get closed to the SPLIT, then Q3 and 4 results (and ALL 2023) and I am absolutely confident that we will get a new ATH again (I won’t tell you my target, but is… MORE) 😂

  • TeslaSmurfOP MoneyLord: Plus I don’t have time to follow other companies, so my money goes into Tesla, some crypto (bought at 1/10), now COINBASE too and my business. I have NEVER lost a year.

  • TeslaSmurfOP MoneyLord: And Today I’m positive too. As the price is quite low, I may decide to keep them in the long term portfolio. I bought them also at more than 1000 but sold them keeping the gain instead of the stock. Sometimes, I sell the most and keep a few, or just at a price that is discounted by the same trading gains or those I sell. The goal is not pocket money (I don’t need that), but to accumulate shares at a good average price… what I’m quite good to do.
