Is Shopee safe enough? Singapore launches safety rating scheme for e-commerce sites
E-commerce scams are one of the top scam types in Singapore. In 2021, there were more than 2,700 cases reported, with about $5.8million in losses. To safeguard consumers when they transact online, the Ministry of Home Affairs launched the Transactions Safety Ratings (TSR).
Here're the ratings and number of scams for each platform. You can see that $Amazon(AMZN.US$, Lazada and Qoo10 are the safest. $Sea(SE.US$'s Shopee follows and $Meta Platforms(FB.US$'s Marketplace is the worst.
The ratings indicate the extent to which they have implemented safety features, which we assess to be critical in combating scams. The following table shows how well these platforms have implemented necessary safety features.

101564063 : i always check out all the platforms before buying. So far Qoo10 is the best. minus off all the marketing by shopee and Lazada. Qoo10 most of the time, i get my order within 2 days and quite satisfied with the items purchase. Only problem is I need to keep adding different items to cart out to use coupon and free delivery. but i am ok with it. cause with all that. the order cheaper comparing with other site.
