Tesla plans to start the second factory in Shanghai, with an annual production capacity of more than one million vehicles

$Tesla(TSLA.US)$ has clear plans to build another new factory to expand production capacity near the current Lingang Superplant at the Shanghai plant. The new plant is expected to produce the Model 3 and Model Y models with an annual capacity of 450,000 units. Once the new plant is completed, it will help Tesla to increase the total capacity of the Shanghai plant to 1 million units per year.
It is reported that Tesla's Shanghai plant has resumed production one by one. Song Gang, senior director of manufacturing at Tesla's super factory, said that a gradual capacity creep would be carried out within three or four days of resumption to reach overall full production in a single shift.
