Quick reminder, $Amazon(AMZN.US$ extended the useful life of their servers from 4 to 5 years, and operating margins expanded from 30 to 35%.
$Microsoft(MSFT.US$ and $Alphabet-A(GOOGL.US$ both use 4 years, both had recently extended (past 2 years). At some point they will extend to 5 years too and get the margin bump.
