Looking for ETFs to hold long term.
Hi folks,
Hope everyone is doing well here. I'm looking for some solid ETFs to hold. I just don't have the time or energy to stay active in trading. I want to put my savings in a relatively safe place, earn a bit and combat inflation.
Right now I'm looking at tickers such as $SPDR S&P 500 ETF(SPY.US$ , $Invesco QQQ Trust(QQQ.US$ , $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF(VOO.US$ , $Ishares Russell 1000 Growth ETF(IWF.US$ , $iShares Russell 2000 ETF(IWM.US$ , $Vanguard Total International Stock ETF(VXUS.US$ , $Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund(XLY.US$. All of these have taken a dip in the last couple of days and are in oversold territory, so I'm thinking it might be a good time to pick some of these up and hold long-term. However, I wanted to get some feedback from all of you and perhaps listen to the contrarian view.
My goal is to find some sort of balance between risk/benefit. I don't want to play it too safe and get 2% a year, but I don't want to risk it too much either just for the sake of trying to bank more.
All the best
