Netflix - Chill or No Chill?
There are 3 main challenges that Netflix needs to fix, so as to turn things around.
1. Post pandemic viewer fatigue - how are they going to entice new subscribers and retain existing customers in the post pandemic world where people are dying to go out instead of watching shows at home?
2. Competition - you have Disney+, Apple TV, Amazon prime video etc. The streaming industry is getting crowded and saturated. How would Netflix be able to differentiate themselves from the rest?
3. Account Sharing - there are about 100 million households sharing their Netflix accounts. Imagine milking $1 from each household, that’s additional $100 million per month! But the question is, how is Netflix going to do that?
