It's a tough choice

My sense is that it's hard to be a full-time trader. But day trading is no guarantee that you'll make money over time. For a lot of retail investors like us, day trading often means making more trades, and without a sizeable war chest, you end up spending a lot more on transaction fees. And that's not even considering if your trades are profitable, which they might not be for inexperienced traders. Having a long-term perspective when investing is still best, but it isn't easy being a full-time trader while keeping to a long-term investment horizon.
