the tourism industry in Malaysia is set to rise, due to cheaper spending in Malaysia. and the people who have traditionally taken advantage of cheaper petrol prices in the past in Malaysia will continue their old ways.

however, there will be a boom for Singapore workforce as the menial jobs will be taken up by Malaysians who are able to travel daily now without additional cost.

Singapore's tourism industry gets its lion share from mainland China, Indonesia, India and less of Malaysia, for it to return to its peak, China's border reopening would be the key.
