Noncompliance would have lead to financial disaster and delisting of Chinese companies and more hardship for the people. Not to mention the huge hole it would have made in the “Common Poverty” plan. It may not seem like a big thing now, but it also will detour shorts Wolfpack, from writing damming lies about Chinese companies in an attempt to force their share price down. Now the SEC will have current, verified, information to stop false reports. Also, with the transparency of the information, stock price can be more appropriately assessed and set. This is a win/win for all involved. Just saying.
