China to give U.S. authorities FULL auditing access to big companies like $Alibaba(BABA.US)$
You might have heard the news today that Chinese authorities are planning to the U.S. give full auditing access to their companies. This is indeed awesome news for those holding Chinese stocks. But I'd advise caution.
China may think that it is granting "full access" but that doesn't mean it will be seen as such by the U.S. authorities. The SEC has been known to play hardball with these matters.
Nevertheless, the fact that China WANTS its stocks to remain listed in the U.S. is in itself a good sign. I would also add that if delistings do occur it will require three full years of not complying. There's no "clear and present danger."
